Organization of XII World Congress of Families 2018

The Repub­lic of Moldo­va was appoint­ed to host the World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies 2018 (the “Con­gress”), sup­port­ed by the Pres­i­dent of the Repub­lic of Moldo­va, Igor Dodon and the First Lady, Gali­na Dodon’s Char­i­ty Foun­da­tion “Din Suflet”.

The basic reg­is­tra­tion for the event is free. The addi­tion­al pack­age fees are applied accord­ing to the ser­vices cho­sen by the par­tic­i­pant (referred to as “you” fur­ther on). Pack­age Fees for World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies 2018 are shown on the Reg­is­tra­tion page. Click here

By reg­is­ter­ing to the Con­gress, you are indi­cat­ing your accep­tance to the terms and con­di­tions set out below.

Basic Registration

All par­tic­i­pants must reg­is­ter via the online reg­is­tra­tion sys­tem.

Online reg­is­tra­tion will be closed on the 10th of Sep­tem­ber 2018. Onsite reg­is­tra­tion will take place on the 13th of Sep­tem­ber 2018 (num­ber of seats is lim­it­ed and is the mat­ter of the addi­tion­al request)

Basic Reg­is­tra­tion for the par­tic­i­pants includes:

  • Admis­sion to all the main ses­sions exclud­ing the addi­tion­al touris­tic pack­age venues indi­cat­ed in the pack­ages from the Reg­is­tra­tion page
  • Entrance to the brand­wall & exhi­bi­tion area
  • Tea and Cof­fee break area
  • Con­gress Pass and all print­ed World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies 2018 mate­ri­als (Con­gress Kit bag)
  • Print­ed sched­ule of the World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies
  • Touris­tic city map

Reg­is­tra­tion for Del­e­gat­ed Per­sons also Includes:

  • Invi­ta­tion to the Grand Open­ing
  • Meet­ing with high-rank­ing offi­cials of the coun­try

*** Trav­el and accom­mo­da­tion costs are not cov­ered.

Methods of Payment

Visa, Visa Elec­tron, Mas­ter­Card and Mae­stro are accept­ed for cred­it card pay­ments that can be made online dur­ing the reg­is­tra­tion process.

Pay­ments for the addi­tion­al ser­vices can be made either via bank trans­fer or via cred­it card. Con­fir­ma­tion of your cred­it card pay­ment, will be made avail­able imme­di­ate­ly after pay­ment, not only by send­ing an email but also by being noti­fied by an on-screen mes­sage.

Bank Transfer

Participant’s Name/​Last Name must be indi­cat­ed on the trans­ac­tion receipt of the bank trans­fer. Fol­low­ing the pay­ment, receipt of the trans­ac­tion must be sent to the Con­gress Cus­tomer Sup­port Depart­ment.

If you do not receive con­fir­ma­tion of your pay­ment via bank trans­fer with­in 14 busi­ness days after the pay­ment, please con­tact the Con­gress Client Sup­port Depart­ment. Con­tact details can be found here.
Pay­ment must be made before the stat­ed dead­line that applies to your appli­ca­tion.

All fees will auto­mat­i­cal­ly be con­vert­ed to Moldovan cur­ren­cy (MDL). The dona­tions on the web­site are pro­posed to be paid in the con­vert­ed Moldovan lei.

Fol­low­ing the pay­ment, receipt of the trans­ac­tion must be sent to the Con­gress Cus­tomer Sup­port Depart­ment.

Payment via Credit Card

Visa, Visa Elec­tron, Mas­ter­Card or Mae­stro are accept­ed for cred­it card pay­ments, which can be made online dur­ing the reg­is­tra­tion process.

In case of reject­ed online credit/​debit card pay­ment, the par­tic­i­pant is rec­om­mend­ed to log into the reg­is­tra­tion sys­tem and try to process the pay­ment again. Should the trou­ble with the pay­ment per­sist, the par­tic­i­pant is advised to con­tact the credit/​debit card issuer/​bank first and check if online trans­ac­tions are not dis­abled on the credit/​debit card. After­wards, the reg­is­tra­tion can be processed again.

Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy

All addi­tion­al pack­age pro­gramme can­cel­la­tion requests should be sent to the Con­gress Cus­tomer Sup­port Depart­ment in writ­ing, in accor­dance with the details pro­vid­ed below, under “Con­gress Cus­tomer Sup­port Depart­ment”.

For can­cel­la­tion booked requests:

Until 1st of Sep­tem­ber 2018 – free of charge

From 1st Sep­tem­ber – 50 $ admin­is­tra­tive fee will be deduct­ed from all refunds.

If you wish to can­cel the pay­ment in any of the spec­i­fied peri­ods, we ask that you con­tact the World Fam­i­ly Con­gress Sup­port Ser­vice 2018 by e-mail by send­ing a writ­ten request. Requests by phone are not valid. After a writ­ten request for the can­cel­la­tion of the pur­chased ser­vice and refund, the World Fam­i­ly Con­gress 2018 Depart­ment of Cus­tomer Sup­port will con­tact you for a detailed dis­cus­sion on the can­cel­la­tion of the pur­chased ser­vice and the refund.

Travel Insurance and Visa

You should seek and fol­low the advice of your gov­ern­ment before book­ing trav­el and accom­mo­da­tion for the Con­gress and before trav­el­ling to the event. You are sole­ly respon­si­ble for mak­ing your own appro­pri­ate trav­el and oth­er insur­ance arrange­ments before book­ing the addi­tion­al fee ser­vices for the Con­gress. The World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies does not assist in the obtain­ment of the trav­el visa for the par­tic­i­pants. Please check with your local author­i­ties if your trav­el is the sub­ject of the visa obtain­ment pro­ce­dure.

Modification and Cancellation of the Congress

IOF and the World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies 2018 Sec­re­tari­at reserve the right to mod­i­fy the Con­gress pro­gramme, which is pub­lished as an indi­ca­tion only.

In the event of can­cel­la­tion of the Con­gress, at any time, as a result of any event of ‘force majeure’ or for oth­er rea­sons that are beyond the con­trol of IOF and respec­tive orga­niz­ers, the addi­tion­al pack­age fee shall be refund­ed (exclud­ing the bank fee) but nei­ther par­ty shall be held liable for any oth­er costs or loss­es incurred, such as trans­porta­tion costs, accom­mo­da­tion costs, finan­cial loss­es, etc.

Disclaimer and ‘force majeure’

Nei­ther IOF nor oth­er WCF 2018 orga­niz­ers shall be respon­si­ble for any bod­i­ly injury/​death or prop­er­ty dam­ages (includ­ing theft) sus­tained by par­tic­i­pants dur­ing the Con­gress, unless such dam­ages are a direct result of the neg­li­gent or unlaw­ful act or omis­sion there­of.

In any event, nei­ther IOF nor oth­er WCF 2018 orga­niz­ers accept lia­bil­i­ty for dam­ages in the event of bod­i­ly injury/​death, prop­er­ty dam­age, dis­rup­tion to trav­el plans and costs incurred as a result of ‘force majeure’. ‘Force majeure’ (or ‘Act of God’) rea­sons include but are not lim­it­ed to: war or threat of war, riots, civ­il strife, ter­ror­ist activ­i­ty, indus­tri­al dis­putes, nat­ur­al or nuclear dis­as­ter, adverse weath­er con­di­tions, epi­demics, health risks, fire and clo­sure of air­ports or air­space.

Consent To The Processing Of Personal Data

Offi­cial­ly Direc­tive on the pro­tec­tion of indi­vid­u­als with regard to the pro­cess­ing of per­son­al data and on the free move­ment of such data.

I agree to the col­lec­tion, preser­va­tion and pro­cess­ing of per­son­al data con­tained in this form, by the admin­is­tra­tor of the World Con­gress of Fam­i­lies 2018 for the pur­pose stat­ed below.

This con­sent is grant­ed for all of the infor­ma­tion con­tained in this form, and through­out the five years from the date of con­sent. At the same time I am aware of their rights under ЗП134 from 17.06.16, МО245–246/30.07.16 article.515; imple­ment­ed on 01.08.16 on the pro­tec­tion of per­son­al data.

I am famil­iar with all com­plet­ed parts of this form, and I declare that all infor­ma­tion are accu­rate and truth­ful and are pro­vid­ed vol­un­tar­i­ly.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

In accor­dance with ЗП134 from 17.06.16, МО245–246/30.07.16 article.515; imple­ment­ed on 01.08.16 on the pro­tec­tion of per­son­al data, all infor­ma­tion giv­en on this form are col­lect­ed and processed sole­ly for pur­pos­es of pro­cess­ing reg­is­tra­tion and addi­tion­al ser­vice require­ments for the World Con­gress of 2018. Sum­ma­rized data from this form may be used by the admin­is­tra­tor for inter­nal sta­tis­ti­cal pur­pos­es and for inter­nal use of the admin­is­tra­tor of the WCF 2018.

Statement by Administrator

Data admin­is­tra­tor declares that they will col­lect per­son­al data to the extent nec­es­sary to accom­plish the intend­ed pur­pose and may be processed only in accor­dance with the pur­pose for which they were col­lect­ed. Employ­ees of the admin­is­tra­tor or oth­er indi­vid­u­als who process per­son­al data under con­tract with the admin­is­tra­tor and oth­er per­sons are oblig­ed to main­tain the con­fi­den­tial­i­ty of per­son­al data, even after ter­mi­na­tion of employ­ment or work.

Responsibility

The par­tic­i­pant acknowl­edges that he/​she has no right to lodge dam­age claims against the organ­is­ers should the hold­ing of the event be hin­dered or pre­vent­ed by unex­pect­ed polit­i­cal or eco­nom­ic events or gen­er­al­ly by force majeure, or should the non-appear­ance of speak­ers or oth­er rea­sons neces­si­tate pro­gramme changes. With reg­is­tra­tion, the par­tic­i­pant accepts this pro­vi­so.

Governing Law

Any dis­pute result­ing from the above terms and con­di­tions will be sub­ject to Repub­lic of Moldo­va law, and by accept­ing these terms you are sub­mit­ting your­self to the exclu­sive juris­dic­tion of the courts of the Repub­lic of Moldo­va.
